Dome 3D Projection

Sirius 3D founder, Steen Iversen, managed a pilot project in 2006, where Tycho Brahe Planetarium in Copenhagen became the first theater in the world capable of projecting digital 3D onto the dome.

The pilot project included pioneering Daimler Chrysler Corporation's Infitec (R) 3D interference filter glasses for public audiences. Infitec (R) is now adopted by Dolby Inc. and comprised in the succesful Dolby 3D (R) theater system.

A research project to increase the size, resolution and brightness of the digital dome projection to unprecedented levels while maintaining the robustness and ease of maintenance of the system is currently ongoing, and the first phase is scheduled to be implemented in Copenhagen in April 2009.
