Production Services
Sirius 3D can provide a full service for production companies considering producing a 3D film, ranging from the initial planning over actual production to premiere and dsitribution. We can even arrange canapés and champaign for the opening.
Planning and pre-production
We can help with the planning of dramatic structure to exploit as best as possible the 3D effects on synopsis level, story boarding. We can help with budgeting, based on our thorough experience from our involvement in more than ten 3D film productions.
Production
We have a complete 3D recording system capable of recording in full digital cinema 3D quality, comprising 3D camera rig, Iconix 2K cameras, 2K 3D capturing software with full 2K realtime pre-view, while recording view, and post-view (dailies). We can provide a 3D photographer and/or a stereographer for your production.

Our specially constructed camera mount makes it possible to adjust the two cameras very accurately to compensate for inherent tolerances in optics and CCD chips. Essential for achieving 3D images which do not introduce eye-strain.
Post-production
We have a full 2K 3D editing system, where films can be stereoscopically conformed and corrected, colour graded, stereoscopically composited and edited, while alle the time viewing the footage and edits in realtime 2K 3D, essential for a good result.

Premiere and events
We have close relationship with many sites, both in Copenhagen and throughout the World, where 3D events can be accommodated including all facilities needed for an successful event, speaker facilities, catering etc.
Distribution
We have thorough knowledge in technology for distribution, including 3D encoding for DVD and Blu-ray, digital cinema, analog cinema, the Internet and tv. We also have know how in production of promotional items like 3D postcards, 3D viewers etc.
Presentation
Our Dome 3D Projection system is the high end solution for superb and highly immersive digital 3D presentations. We can also assist with mastering for the growing worldwide network of flat-screen digital 3D theatres of close to 2000 theatres.
While digital 3D projection is the state-of-the-art solution for presenting 3D films, the challenge is, that the number of digital 3D theatres worldwide is still limited to less than 2,000, while there are more than 100,000 traditional analog theatres.
However, while the industry is waiting for more digital 3D cinemas to arrive, content owners can already now access the 100,000 traditional cinemas with their 3D product, by taking advantage of our optimized anaglyphic process.
Our anaglyphic 3D process makes it possible for ordinary 35mm analog cinemas to show 3D in a hitherto unseen quality, requiring no updates whatsoever, only paper glasses, which are so cheap, that they can be accomodated by the films marketing budget.
We managed to get rid of the annoying ghosting and also the eye-strain in scenes where red colors are present, that previously has been unavoidable in anaglyphic based cinema.
The first feature film to use this process was nWave Pictures' "Fly Me To The Moon", which was shown in the new optimized anaglyph in over 600 35mm cinemas overseas.
While there is less than 2000 digital 3D cinemas worldwide, there is about 100.000 normal 35mm cinemas, and in many territories anaglyphic is the only option for the audience to experience 3D. Even if anaglyph does not provide the color fidelity of digital 3D, the 3D effect is exactly the same, and we managed to reduce the eye strain, so a very good experience is possible.
